There have been some issues reported about the login process on the WWG website using Internet Explorer.
Symptom
When a user clicks on the LOGIN button, after filling the form with username and password, they are redirected to the homepage instead of their personal page.
After a very detailed investigation our IT department found that the problem is caused by Microsoft compatibility issues on new web technologies.
There is a standard in the web development called W3C and Internet Explorer is not following it entirely. Other browser like Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Opera on the other hand are much more compatible with the standards.
That’s why the latest statistics are saying that only the 11% of the world population is still using Internet Explorer as a default browser and the number is falling (have a look here the official W3C the document).
The reliability of Internet Explorer is currently very “fluctuating”, depending on continuous Microsoft updates, security patches, etc.
For these reasons, if you are experiencing problems logging into our website, we suggest to opt for a different browser.
Here is a link to download the latest browsers:
Google Chrome
Firefox
Safari
Opera
